Reggaeton has its own unique elements in contrast to other music genres in the world. He quotes, “Why not do it with this new music (reggaeton), instead of doing a Spanish rap record? Its unique music deals with real life situations such as reality of street life, misunderstandings, gangs, love, sex, and dancing. Since reggaeton is a mix of different Latin styles, it has its own distinct Latin touch. The music is also combined with rapping in Spanish. It is a mix of dancehall and hip-hop genres with inspirations from many other music genres like Jamaican reggae, bomba, salsa and electronica. What is reggaton music?
