I'm thinking if we just put a HDMI switcher before the table hub we could get a similar user experience to our usual Extron classroom we're doing, which consists of a control panel, scaler, an HDBaseT connection to the display device and a small amp + speakers. if there's no video conferencing, just a plain old meeting, will the user be able to just plug the HDMI into his laptop and use the display and the Rally speakers via the Rally Sender-Receiver hubs? Will the camera activate regardless? My question is, how well does the Rally handle local content, i.e. Now what I like about this is that we can do all the audio and video via CAT and run it through the floor while keeping the costs down, and we'd still be able to reuse the cabling if we were to use other equipment at some point. We need to estimate costs for new VC rooms thanks to the current craze and since we've deployed the Logitech Group in a couple of rooms we're looking at the Rally for more permanent installations.
